Couldn't be more surprised and impressed. I dropped off my 718 S for a little maintenance and as these guys have tremendous reviews, I thought I'd give them a shot. I wanted to meet them in person so instead of using their drop-off service I did it myself. Very unassuming location as you drive up but they are truly running a small Porsche dealership. Super professional, very clean shop, multiple advisors to help, super communicative and extremely knowledgeable. All work comes with a guarantee and I couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend giving them a try

These guys are the best. I bought a 1983 911SC and have to admit I had no idea what I was doing. Brought my 2017 911 in for a PPI. Barnaba did an amazing job documenting ever detail. Talked with Matt about what was found in the report (luckily not much) then had them perform some preventative maintenance, because they are WAY cheaper than a dealership. Barnaba offered tow service to take care of transportation, which was great. Amazing service and quality, I know I found my Porsche garage for years to come.

Great shop . Good mechanical team . The salesman not so much. After he asked my price range on a Cayman I told him 45.He very first words were "you should have a spending limit. It's always better to spend more and get a well maintained car than spend less and get a car that needs a lot of work" I have the feeling this young schmuck would of said that even if i said i wanted to spend 55 or 60 . The nonsense that came out of this guy (boy) was unbelievable. Almost like he read a how to sell a car book . After listening to hismemorized car selling 101 comments for 10 minutes I decided to never buy a car there but just have my work done.

I was referred to Barnaba by a Porsche club member. Up to now, I always take my cars to the dealer. Knowing this year would be expensive, decided to try a non dealer. I live 60 miles away in NW Indiana, and glad Barnaba offered pick up and drop off service. The service took a few days and when I got my Cayman back, I could tell it was well taken care of. It was dirty initially but when it came home, it looks like a new car. Thank you Barnaba for great overall service experience and added bonus of detailing. Thank you Mark and Matt for taking great care of my Cayman.

I brought in my 996 911 for a basic service and check up. Matt the service advisor was straightforward. They accommodated my requests and took photos of a Power Steering leak. Price for the basic service was reasonable.This shop has all you need to perfectly upkeep your Porsche. However as part of this policy, they are less flexible about accepting outside parts. So if you have a problem that might not require a whole part replacement, or if you source your own part from an outside vendor, you might want to look for another shop to be more flexible. But it doesn’t hurt to ask Barnaba what they’re willing to do.

Brought my 928 in for repair to the cruise control and ignition key. My Porsche repairs were completed the very next day! (Before this, my 928 was at the dealer for 6 six weeks and the dealership was unable to perform any of the required repairs on my 928 and returned my car to me unrepaired). So, needless to say, I'm extremely satisfied with the repairs and the price and great customer service at Barnaba Autosport!! Also, they had a very nice dog. Thanks, Bob Joyce

Barnaba is an awesome Porsche-only service shop and they did a great job fully rebuilding my 2005 Carrera S 4.0L engine. If you are looking for a place to service your Porsche, with fair prices and great service, this is it!My car's previous owner had the engine rebuilt and upgraded to 4.0L by (what is supposed to be) a reputable shop in IL, but to my surprise, it failed within less than 5,000 miles of the rebuild and required a full rebuild. Mark and the rest of the Barnaba team were very communicative throughout the entire engine rebuild process and very transparent regarding what costs I should expect. Not only did they send me pictures/videos of the damage they found in the engine, I also visited the shop and spoke with one of their mechanics, who patiently walked me through all the issues they found and showed me all the damaged parts. The Barnaba team was also of great help when sourcing the correct parts for my engine (it has custom-built forged pistons, nickies cylinders, among several other custom parts). Barnaba also offers a 3-year/Unlimited Mile warranty on their engine rebuild, which gives me peace of mind that this rebuild was done properly! Lastly, their pickup and delivery service is also extremely convenient.

I purchased a 911 restoration project from a local Porsche dealership that turned out to be a disaster. While the body and interior work that they had farmed out was well done, the work they did on the engine was not only grossly misrepresented, their incompetence ended up trashing the engine.While looking for options of what to do I ended up at Barnaba Autosport - I cannot emphasize what a great decision that has turned out to be! Ron, Chris, Matt, Mark, Eric, Jake and the rest of the Barnaba staff have been fantastic to work with and the knowledge they have across the entire Porsche line-up regardless of type or year model, is truly impressive. They turned what I had thought was a disaster into a work of art that puts a smile on my face everytime I get in it.Long story short, with more than one Porsche in the family, (my wife has a Macan) I highly recommend Barnaba Autosport for all your Porsche needs. Barnaba is easily the best service shop I have ever experienced. They offer convenience in terms of pick up and drop off for your car on a flat bed. From there the communication on the diagnosis to the remediation is a step by step process that puts you to ease. Jake Murphy is a Porsche expert and is simply amazing to deal with. He answers questions, is super responsive and goes over and above to help his customers. Barnaba’s pricing is competitive vs. other shops and more economical than dealer pricing. I will tell you if you are a Porsche owner and your past your warranty or prepaid maintenance plan, never go to another dealership, but go to Barnaba. Not only will the work be done by certified Porsche technicians but at third or half of the cost of a dealer. They even cleaned my car and vacuumed it, rare in my last experience with a local dealer.Mark was communicative and their follow-up exceptional. Oil change and repair expertly completed. They truly are the best and I am a fan for life.

Matt at Barnaba was great to work with as I went in for a second opinion for my Porsche Cayenne. My usual Porsche maintenance shop was saying that I needed a significant amount of service and came back with a hefty price tag. Matt took a consultative approach and offer his thoughts on the situation. The Barnaba team helped me understand that the original quote included more work than necessary and they suggested to only fix what was necessary. I was very interested in acquiring a Porsche 968 that was for sale in the Chicago area. I was referred to Mark Greco at Barnaba Autosport to conduct a PPI and help me diligence the car. Mark was extremely helpful and obviously extremely knowledgeable about Porsches. He spent a great deal of time on the phone with me answering my questions and areas of concern, and took a look at cosmetic issues, and carefully reviewed service records, all prior to beginning the mechanical work of the PPI. When issues of concern immediately became apparent, I decided to pass on the car because of red flags. I cannot recommend Mark highly enough. Very knowledgeable and a great guy. 5+ stars!!!

Mark was extremely collaborative in helping me pass my first emission test since I bought my 2003 996. He went so far as to even drive to the AirTeam location to ensure it would pass. Great Service, very good results, and my car needs a few more things to address, we defined a prioritization and only tackled the most pressing issues. The rest I will absolutely ask Mark and the guys at Barnaba to tackle.2023 update: Mark and the Barnaba team have stepped up yet again. I had the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate replaced as they were worn out. This despite being replaced at 40,000 miles by another shop. Barnaba were able to diagnose the previously substandard work and parts installed and replace them with the proper parts that actually work and fit my car.While we were in there Mark advised that I should replace the notorious IMS bearing with the “solution”. This was completed on time and on budget.The car is in fabulous shape now, better than ever and I now drive the car with less stress and more enjoyment.2024 update: Mark has declared that the car runs extremely well, and that I can relax now. I may have bought the wrong car, but Barnaba has turned it into the right car. Probably the best 996 Cabriolet in the Midwest. Completely stock now, ‘cept for the slightly upgraded shocks installed (which are the B6 Bilsteins IYKYK).

I have been meaning to write a review for the incredible experience I had working with Mark and the team at Barnaba for quite some time now but only just got around to doing so.Last year I had them perform a PPI of a 2006 Carrera S that I was looking to purchase. I reached out with a last minute request for them to perform a PPI before I was slated to arrive in Chicago for a work trip the following week (ideally I was hoping to have the results before leaving so I knew whether or not to come prepared to buy!).Needless to say, Barnaba came through and performed the PPI in record time and provided me a TON of fantastic information that gave me an in depth understanding of the true condition of the vehicle including a few items that they caught that would have potentially been a deal breaker for me if I wasn’t able to negotiate the purchase price with the seller related to those issues.I’d also like to note that Mark Greco took the time to jump on a call with me and run through the full PPI report in detail and answer any questions I had about the items that were noted.In the end, I made the leap and purchased the vehicle, and Barnaba was even able to address the identified issues after my purchase before helping to organize shipping to my house in NY. I can’t thank Mark, Jake and the rest of the team enough for helping me get one of my dream cars!

In 1979 I was 12 years old. I have no idea how an off the showroom floor 1979 Porsche 911 felt to drive. I do know how my 44 year old 911 drove prior to the engine and transmission rebuild by you guys. This is a totally different beast! All I can say is wow! My 915 gearbox is now unbelievably smooth and accurate, no missing a shift thanks to the Wevo gate shift kit out back. The motor (3.0 enlarged to a 3.2) pulls hard on acceleration and the sound of the SSI’s and GT3 style exhaust is intoxicating. Now when I put it away for the night, I can’t stop thinking about driving it again. I love this car more than ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It was such a pleasant experience to buy a vehicle from Chris and the folks at Barnaba. From the first call right to post delivery follow ups, Chris has been super responsive, helpful and patient for this first time Porsche owner. Awesome collection of air-cooled Porsche examples for sale, restoration and repair. The facility is the summation the best factory-trained technicians lead by the owner, who himself was a factory trained Porsche technician of 53 years and a 24 and 12-hour endurance racing champion.
