This was a great car purchase experience. If you value your time, this is the place to purchase a car. Chris is a very knowledgable straight shooter and I appreciate his no nonsense approach. The entire process of negotiating was very efficient and took only a few minutes. Picking up the car was the same. He had all the paperwork ready when I arrived. All car salesmen should be like this. Matt at Barnaba was great to work with as I went in for a second opinion for my Porsche Cayenne. My usual Porsche maintenance shop was saying that I needed a significant amount of service and came back with a hefty price tag. Matt took a consultative approach and offer his thoughts on the situation. The Barnaba team helped me understand that the original quote included more work than necessary and they suggested to only fix what was necessary. Happy that I brought my car to Matt and looking forward to working with the team at Barnaba for their great service experience.

I was very interested in acquiring a Porsche 968 that was for sale in the Chicago area. I was referred to Mark Greco at Barnaba Autosport to conduct a PPI and help me diligence the car. Mark was extremely helpful and obviously extremely knowledgeable about Porsches. He spent a great deal of time on the phone with me answering my questions and areas of concern, and took a look at cosmetic issues, and carefully reviewed service records, all prior to beginning the mechanical work of the PPI. When issues of concern immediately became apparent, I decided to pass on the car because of red flags. I cannot recommend Mark highly enough. Very knowledgeable and a great guy. 5+ stars!!!

Mark was extremely collaborative in helping me pass my first emission test since I bought my 2003 996. He went so far as to even drive to the AirTeam location to ensure it would pass. Great Service, very good results, and my car needs a few more things to address, we defined a prioritization and only tackled the most pressing issues. The rest I will absolutely ask Mark and the guys at Barnaba to tackle.2023 update: Mark and the Barnaba team have stepped up yet again. I had the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate replaced as they were worn out. This despite being replaced at 40,000 miles by another shop. Barnaba were able to diagnose the previously substandard work and parts installed and replace them with the proper parts that actually work and fit my car.While we were in there Mark advised that I should replace the notorious IMS bearing with the “solution”. This was completed on time and on budget.The car is in fabulous shape now, better than ever and I now drive the car with less stress and more enjoyment.2024 update: Mark has declared that the car runs extremely well, and that I can relax now. I may have bought the wrong car, but Barnaba has turned it into the right car. Probably the best 996 Cabriolet in the Midwest. Completely stock now, ‘cept for the slightly upgraded shocks installed (which are the B6 Bilsteins IYKYK).

Highly recommend! I had a fantastic experience with Mark in the service department at Barnaba Autosport. They completed a pre-purchase inspection on a 2007 Boxster S for me in a very timely manner, even during a week of lousy winter weather! Very communicative, and patient with all of my questions. He made sure to tell me that our relationship didn't end at the report, but that they would be there with support throughout my Porsche ownership, should I decide to purchase the car. I have been meaning to write a review for the incredible experience I had working with Mark and the team at Barnaba for quite some time now but only just got around to doing so.Last year I had them perform a PPI of a 2006 Carrera S that I was looking to purchase. I reached out with a last minute request for them to perform a PPI before I was slated to arrive in Chicago for a work trip the following week (ideally I was hoping to have the results before leaving so I knew whether or not to come prepared to buy!).Needless to say, Barnaba came through and performed the PPI in record time and provided me a TON of fantastic information that gave me an in depth understanding of the true condition of the vehicle including a few items that they caught that would have potentially been a deal breaker for me if I wasn’t able to negotiate the purchase price with the seller related to those issues.I’d also like to note that Mark Greco took the time to jump on a call with me and run through the full PPI report in detail and answer any questions I had about the items that were noted.In the end, I made the leap and purchased the vehicle, and Barnaba was even able to address the identified issues after my purchase before helping to organize shipping to my house in NY. I can’t thank Mark, Jake and the rest of the team enough for helping me get one of my dream cars!

In 1979 I was 12 years old. I have no idea how an off the showroom floor 1979 Porsche 911 felt to drive. I do know how my 44 year old 911 drove prior to the engine and transmission rebuild by you guys. This is a totally different beast! All I can say is wow! My 915 gearbox is now unbelievably smooth and accurate, no missing a shift thanks to the Wevo gate shift kit out back. The motor (3.0 enlarged to a 3.2) pulls hard on acceleration and the sound of the SSI’s and GT3 style exhaust is intoxicating. Now when I put it away for the night, I can’t stop thinking about driving it again. I love this car more than ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I think I found my shop! This place takes the best from the dealership experience (professional, on-time) and that talent you get (if you're lucky) from a masterful independent Porsche technician and combines that to give you exactly what you need: A car that drives right and the confidence you get from knowing that the right people worked on it. I was in search of a Porsche tech for nearly a year. A friend referred me to Barnaba Autosport and I called and spoke to Mark in their service department. I own a 997.2 4S and was convinced I needed all sorts of maintenance as part of a service interval. Mind you, I called two other indie shops and got quotes before speaking to Mark at Barnaba. Mark advised that I didn't need all of those things and took his time to explain to me why. I was still a bit skeptical, so I did a bit of research and everything he advised was exactly right. I took my car to Barnaba, they gave it a thorough inspection, I gave the go-ahead on a few more items and made a plan for the rest. Fantastic customer service and an overall pleasurable experience, I highly recommend.

I wanted to share my experiences over the last 6 months with Barnaba and John Greco servicing my 2015 981 GTS. This is my first Porsche and I am ecstatic about it. Barnaba is the only servicer that has touched my car since I’ve owned it. They did a purchase inspection (the GTS was/is in pristine condition), detail, minor door dent repair, tires, tune, V1 hardwire install, and more. Barnaba and John have been the best car service experience I’ve had in years. John has been great and his team, equally great...friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating on dates and times for drop offs and pickups. John will take a text or call for consult and plans just about any time, any day. I plan to only work with John and Barnaba for years (and hopefully many more Porsches).

Better experience than at any Porsche dealership or independent operator I’ve been to. Chris offered an unsolicited guided tour of the operation, and Mark patiently answered all questions and explained what procedure and servIce my vehicle needed. Seeing Porsche legend Ron Barnaba actively interacting around the complex was reassuring. Not many places make you feel as welcome or valued and mine is NOT a high end vehicle relative to their incredible inventory. I’ll be getting all of my service done here on my RS 60 Spyder and when I’m in the market for another Porsche, Barnaba is where I’ll begin.

I am thankful to have a honest shop in the area I can trust.

Chris Barnaba is simply one of the best out there - knowledgeable, honest and available to answer any / all questions. I was a remote buyer and the live video walkthrough was thorough and he answered all my questions. Chris’ customer service and attention to detail before, during and after the sale is unparalleled. The Barnaba Autosport facility is top notch and beyond what I expected - very active maintenance/service and 911 restoration shop with various generations available for sale. I have had Barnaba do a LOT to both my 991 Carerra and 958 Cayenne, from upgrades like the PSE added to the 991, to PDR, to fixing body damage on the 958, to brake upgrades on the 991, front diff on the 958...you name it.It seems that whatever you need, they can get it done. And even though they are always busy, turnaround times are quite quick!

Brought my Carrera in to Barnaba after a power surge during a thunderstorm took out several control sensors. Despite supply chain issues and insurance claim delays they were able to successfully get the car back without any problems. Mark was great and always kept me updated on the progress. People called Walter Payton "Sweetness". Well, they've never driven a Cayman S, especially one that has been given a TLC treatment at Barnaba's. Ok, kinda sappy. But the thing is these guys are great. They know Porsches inside and out, they're courteous, they're timely, and when your car coms out of their shop, it's ready to run the twisties. They've got my business as long as I can get my 70+ year old body in and out of my P-cars.

The only downside to having your Porsche serviced at Barnaba is that you want to drive home with several more. Sitting in their customer lounge is like sitting in a dream garage. You’re surrounded by classic 911’s, 924’s, 993’s and other 9-somethings from every decade in various stages of restoration to being ready to go to their new owner. It’s impossible not to take pictures (I’ll post a few here). But while you’re dreaming of your next Porsche, Mark and his team do a fantastic job of taking care of the one you have. I have a 2017 Macan S which I now bring in for all scheduled maintenance. But what really made me a fan is that they helped diagnose and resolve a drivetrain issue that the dealership couldn’t pinpoint and wanted to replace the entire transmission. What could’ve been a major costly repair turned out to be a faulty valve, and Barnaba saved me enough to start my own “Next Porsche Fund.” I am so glad I found these guys. And I can’t say enough about how friendly they are and how honest they are about the work that actually needs to be done. They will sit down with you, pull out an engine diagram, and really help you understand your car. You can even hang out and watch your car while it’s being serviced. It’s also reassuring to know that both Mark and his lead technician both came from the dealership where I purchased mine. Suffice it to say, they know Porsche’s better than anyone. But back to their showroom… I actually find myself looking forward to my next service visits just so I can check out the latest inventory. It’s an ever-evolving Porsche museum!

After forty-some years of hard work and striving to be able to afford a lifelong dream of mine, I finally found myself in a position to purchase that Porsche 911 that I have always wanted since I was 12 years old. I watched as 8 generations of the 911 evolved from the first model that debuted in the same year I was born, to the state of the art iconic sports car it is today. I eventually came to the conclusion that I could get all of the options that I wanted in a modern 911, if I bought a pre-owned vehicle.Oh, ..It was fun at first, browsing through all of the used car websites, checking out the local dealerships, etc. But it quickly became frustrating, as I realized it was becoming difficult to find that special car that checked all the right boxes regarding, performance level, colors, miles on the clock, the vehicle’s history, and most importantly, pricing. So, I thought to myself, if I have waited this long, I can surely wait a little longer and be patient with finding the right car for me.After a few weeks of relentless searching, I came across a beautiful 2012 991 Carrera S on a website from Barnaba Autosport, which is located a few miles west of Chicago. Everything about the car looked great on paper and checked all the boxes for me. Although I was a little apprehensive with purchasing my dream car from a dealer that was located over 350 miles away from me, I must say that I was quickly set at ease after reading and watching the video on their website. This obviously is a professional family of knowledgeable, and experienced individuals that have a passion for Porsches.So, I decided to call Barnaba Autosports and I spoke with Chris Barnaba. Chris was very pleasant and answered all of my questions regarding the car and its history. He also sent me a link to a detailed video walk-around of the car. Chris was very helpful and took the time to speak with me on a few subsequent phone conversations over the next day or two. After my decision to move forward with the purchase, I called Chris to let him know that I needed to schedule a flight to Chicago and get my finances in order to complete the transaction. He assured me that he would not sell the car and would hold onto it until I booked a flight and flew out to see it.Once I arrived in Chicago, I arranged an Uber ride to Barnaba Autosports, which is approximately 36 miles from O’Hare International Airport. Chris was already waiting for me and had everything ready to go. First order of business was meeting the car in person for the first time. It was everything Chris relayed to me, and more. Chris accompanied me for a quick test drive and pointed out the features of the car and provided welcome tips for ownership along the way. After spending some time with the car, we went back inside to sign the paperwork and close the deal. Once inside, I met Ron Barnaba (Owner, and father of Chris). Mr. Barnaba sat down with Chris and I and had a pleasant conversation about Porsche cars for a while. They made me feel at home and very comfortable with my decision to buy this car from Barnaba. They meticulously inspected the vehicle, and provided all the up-to-date maintenance, as well as a fine detailing. To wrap things up, before I drove away in my dream car, Chris assisted in setting up my cell phone and navigation system for my trip. A few quick pictures and I was off, with confidence that the car was well prepared and ready for my journey home. Having wanted a 911 since my youth, this was a once in a life opportunity to purchase the car I had dreamed about for decades. I spent a considerable amount of time researching the options throughout the country and found one at Barnaba that met what I was looking for. After reading the rave reviews online I inquired late on a Friday evening. Chris responded immediately and answered all of my initial questions. Being from out of state, we FaceTime the following week to visually inspect the car. Chris was very thorough and again answered all of my questions. We flew into Chicago to take delivery and the car was as advertised upon inspection. There were a couple of items we noticed and his team took care of them immediately. Fantastic establishment. Mark in service is an extremely pleasant individual to work with. They keep you posted on all aspects of the repair process, always making sure you understand. They worked with my extended warranty company very well, making sure to get the exact replacement parts I needed-not just what the warranty company wanted to use to save money. I've had my Cayman S serviced at Barnaba the last few years. I always felt I was getting the straight story from Mark. When the CPO was up, I was shopping for maintenance insurance. Mark described some options and his experience. I ended up purchasing a package thru them at a cost lower than the dealer was offering (of course ). Recently the engine needed fairly significant repair; I only paid the $250 deductible. Very happy with the whole experience.

I recently bought a Porsche from them. It has been a dream of mine to own a 911 since I was a kid. They were FANTASTIC and accommodating. I brought my ‘06 Cayenne Turbo S in for a complete brake job. One HUGE benefit (for a car guy) was that I could actually see/watch them work on my vehicle. So, the uneasy feeling of “what’s behind the curtain” that you can get at a typical dealer was completely gone. My experience with Mark Greco (Service Director) was one of full and fair disclosure at all times. Mark came and sat down with me for a few moments throughout the process and genuinely wanted to know more about the vehicle and what other maintenance had been done in the past. I was thoroughly impressed by this as Mark genuinely cared about how he could help in any other ways.I believe that the pricing was fair and that the service was customized to my Cayenne. If you are in need of a customized, honest and fair service experience for your Porsche, you should most certainly consider Barnaba! I will continue to drive to Batavia from the Midway Airport area to service my Cayenne going forward. Great experience overall!
